Besides enjoying music, I've always been an avid ringette player. I began playing when I was 6 years old (2001). For the past several years (since 2005), I've been playing on elite teams as well as house league teams (because of the limited population, players who play at the elite level in our region were at one point also required to play house league).

Âgée de 17 ans, Caroline Savoie n'est pas seulement interprète, elle est aussi auteure-compositrice avec plus de 60 chansons originales à son actif. Sa musique est composée sur une guitare acoustique et ses chansons sont inspirées de la vie quotidienne. Caroline Savoie is a 17 year old singer-songwriter-composer with over 60 original songs to her credit. Inspired by everyday life and mostly composed on her acoustic guitar, she brings the same crisp, inventive phrasing and soulful tone to each individual song, regardless of genre, making it distinctively her own. She sang for the first time in front of an audience in 2008. Since that time, singing and playing guitar has been her passion.

Sa portée s'étend cependant bien au-delà de la scène locale. Elle a récemment été mise en évidence à la une du magazine Indie Music Reviewer dans leur édition inaugurale du Women of Indie, en mettant en évidence que les artistes choisies ont "the distinction of being recognized over Grammy award nominees & winners, Rolling Stone Magazine features, VH1 artists, MTV artists, and major festival headliners who did not get picked for this opportunity". En leur propres mots, "Thank you Caroline for bringing your great music and passion to us and we congratulate you on being featured on the cover of our Women of Indie magazine issue" … "The album is surely one of our greatest listens yet".
Autodidacte, Caroline a appris à jouer de la guitare en grattant sur celle reçue de ses grands-parents maternels à l'âge de 12 ans. Après quelques mois de pratique, sa voix est venue accompagner ses accords. Malgré son jeune âge, elle n'a que 17 ans, cette auteure-compositreure-interprète a déjà plus de soixante compositions à son actif, tant dans la langue de Molière que celle de Shakespeare. Inspirées du quotidien, ses chansons sont sincères et émouvantes.
À l'automne 2011, ses chansons Chemin perdu et Je t'aime lui ont permis de remporter les grands honneurs du Sommet de la chanson de Kedgwick. En plus de décrocher la palme dans la catégorie auteure-compositeure-interprète, elle est repartie avec les prix du Théâtre Capitol de Moncton, du Festival acadien de Caraquet et du Festival d'automne de Kedgwick.
C'est suite à son passage au Radiothon de l'Arbre de l'espoir à la radio de Radio-Canada Acadie le 25 novembre 2011 qu'elle a participé à l'émission télévisée de variété de Radio-Canada Acadie Luc et Luc. Lors de l'émission du 11 décembre 2011, elle a interprété deux de ses compositions et a accordé une entrevue à l'animateur Luc LeBlanc. Plus récemment, au début février 2012, elle a participé à la demi-finale des Accros de la chanson de la Fédération des jeunes francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick à Saint-Quentin, se taillant une place en grande finale qui sera présentée le 19 mai au célèbre Monument Lefebvre à Memramcook. N.-B. Elle a aussi fait sa marque sur la scène en marge des ECMA 2012, y compris une vitrine MusicNB / ECMA au Tide and Boar Gastropub.
Chanter et jouer la guitare sont devenus la passion première de Caroline. Après avoir lancé son premier album en octobre 2011, mettant en évidence sa créativité et son timbre unique, Caroline entrera à nouveau en studio cet été pour enregistrer un album en français. Caroline's youth, passion, candor and simplicity bring a soulful breath of fresh air into the local music scene.
Her reach however extends far beyond the local scene. Self-taught, Caroline learned to play guitar when she was 12 years old, by picking on one received from her maternal grandparents. After several months of practice, her unique voice came to accompany the chords. Despite her young age, a tender 17 years old, the singer-songwriter already has over sixty compositions in both the tongues of Molière that of Shakespeare. Inspired by everyday life events, her songs are heartfelt and moving.
In the Fall of 2011, her songs Chemin perdu and Je t'aime led to garnering top honors at the Sommet de la chanson de Kedgwick, where she also emerged with: the Théâtre Capitol de Moncton prize, the Festival acadien de Caraquet prize, and the Festival d'automne de Kedgwick prize.
It was after a performance on Radio-Canada's Tree of Hope radiothon in November of 2011 that she was invited to interview with host Luc LeBlanc on Radio-Canada Acadie's variety show Luc et Luc (television appearance on December 11, 2011, where she also performed two of her original songs). More recently, in February 2012, she participated in the Semifinals of the Accros de la chanson 2012, earning a spot in the Finals to be held on May 19 at the famed Monument Lefebvre in Memramcook, NB.
Singing and playing guitar has truly become Caroline's biggest passion. In October 2011, she launched her first EP/CD, which showcases her unique sound and creativity. Caroline will enter the studio again this Summer to record a French album, but in the meantime, she continues to grace venues on the regional scene. For instance, she recently made her mark as part of the 2012 ECMAs, opening a MusicNB / ECMA showcase at the Tide and Boar Gastropub.
